Calvary - Church & School
What kind of a church is Calvary Lutheran Church? We are not afraid to admit that every one of us at Calvary is a sinner. This is not utopia. But we are convinced that Jesus died and rose to forgive every sin to every person. We live in the joy and peace of God’s grace. We want nothing more than to share God’s loving gift with you. We are glad that you have found us here on the Internet.
Calvary is a congregation that still believes the historic teachings of Lutheran Christianity. We believe this historic Lutheran faith is the same faith taught by Jesus and his Apostles. You can learn more about our teachings by clicking on “This We Believe.”
In 1964, North Dallas residents seeking a more Biblically faithful Lutheran congregation came together to establish Calvary. If you are interested in our history, click the “Church History” link. There you will find a detailed presentation of our story.
We recognize that the challenges and temptations faced by individuals are always changing day to day. Yet these challenges and temptations are often old problems in new clothes. God’s people have dealt with them in the past (Ecclesiastes 1:9), and God’s Word shows us how. Christian education is an important part of our ministry. Our children are the future of the church. That is why we operate a Lutheran elementary school for grades K-9. You can learn more about our school and how to enroll your children at the link for “Calvary Lutheran School.”
