 Our Programs

Like most Christian churches, Calvary has many different opportunities for you to grow in your faith and put it into practice. Here are some we believe may interest you:  

Bible Classes

· Weekly Sunday Bible classes for all ages begin at 9:30 a.m.

· Our Home Bible meets monthly on a Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. This class runs like a book club, and it is always reading and discussing a commentary on a book of the Bible.

· Ladies’ Bible Study meets once each month. The time alternates between Saturday mornings at 9:30 a.m. and Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m.

· Bible Information Class is a systematic course in the basic teachings of the Bible. Most of the year it is running weekly on Thursday nights at 7 p.m. We often have a weekly Tuesday night class as well. Occasionally we offer this course on Sunday mornings.

· Men’s Bible Study meets Wednesday mornings at 6 a.m.

 

Special Worship Services 

(in addition to Sundays at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m.): 

· Advent Wednesday services on the three Wednesdays before Christmas, 7 p.m.

· Children’s Christmas Service, Friday before Christmas at 7 p.m.

· Christmas Eve services at 7 p.m.

· Christmas Day services at 9:30 a.m.

· Worship on New Year’s Eve, 7 p.m.

· Lenten Wednesday services on the six Wednesdays before Palm Sunday, 7 p.m.

· Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m.

· Good Friday Tenebrae at 7 p.m.

· Easter Sunrise service at 6:30 a.m.

· Ascension Eve Service on the 6th Thursday after Easter, 7 p.m.

· Thanksgiving Day service at 9:30 a.m. 

 

Youth Organizations: 

· Lutheran Girl and Boy Pioneers for grades K-6

· Junior High Youth Group (Fabulous Fridays)

· Joel and Friends (Senior High Youth Group) 

 

Fellowship Opportunities:

· OWLS (Organization of WELS Lutheran Seniors)

· Men’s Softball Team

· Annual Oktoberfest

· Annual Christmas Party

· Lutheran Night at the Texas Rangers

· Labor Day Family Campout at Camp Shiloh
